Dogs:
I love looking after dogs and as I don’t have one of my own I look after other peoples.
If you are going on holiday or having a day out and you can’t take you dog with you, just contact me and if I am not fully booked I will look after your dog.
I enjoy walking and I can take your dog on a wonderful walk around parks and woods, depending on the size and age of your dog depends on the length of the walk and where I take them.
I have lots of fun playing fetch, frisbee, tug of war or just simply stroking your dog.
I have already looked after many dogs including Harvey who is a male boxer and is extremely playful. He really enjoyed his stay with me because of the amount of playing we did.
Guinea pigs:
About 4 years ago I got two guinea pigs. One has short hair and is caramel in colour, he is called Caramel and the other is his brother who has long hair and is white and light brown in colour, he is called Dougel. I care for them on a daily basis, this includes feeding them twice a day and cleaning out their cage.
Horses:
I have completed 4 online equine courses, so I am now BHS qualified in Essential Horse Knowledge, and have passed my equine level 1 horse care & management, equine levels 2 and 3 horse knowledge & care.
I have learnt how to clip, groom and plait mains and tails of horses, how to tack-up, un-tack, prepare horses for transportation and how to look after a them on a day to day basis. As part of my courses I studied sick nursing, so I know the main systems of the horse's body and which aliments/illnesses are associated with which part of the body. I have learnt stable and grassland management including how to plan the ideal layout of a yard.
I have really enjoyed learning so much about horses that I really wanted to put what I had learned into practice. Luckily for me a local livery stables have given me the chance to do this, by letting me volunteer at their stables. I love every minute of it!
